Prison Fellowship Women's Bible Study

“I was in prison and you came to Me.” -Matthew 25:36

Join PCPC women in an outreach that ministers to 54 women at the Dawson State Jail in downtown Dallas. Through their faith-based unit, Prison Fellowship has given us the opportunity to lead a Bible-study for these ladies on Friday mornings throughout the year. We enter in groups of 10-15 for Bible study, small groups, teaching, and worship. No preparation is required. You may attend first as a guest and after training, you are welcome to come each week, once a month, once a quarter, or as your schedule allows. The ‘God Pod’ is a minimum security unit of women who are hungry for fellowship and desire to know God’s Word. Also, if you are so inclined, you can extend your time into teaching and mentoring. This fall we are studying the Gospels with an emphasis on those who encountered Jesus. Feel free to bring your daughter or a friend. We meet Friday mornings from 8:15-11:30 am and carpool to the Dawson State Jail downtown.

Monterrey Mission Trip

Summer 2011
Monterrey, Mexico
Michelle Bridgeman, 469-955-7965

For the past few years, PCPC Women’s Ministry has sent a team of women to Monterrey, Mexico to minister to women and children. As a part of a long term mission project first established in the summer of 2007, the week long trips have consisted of teams ranging in size from 6 to 12 women each summer. The trips are directed through the PCA’s Mission to the World missionaries in Monterrey who serve as hosts, guides, translators and great sources of wisdom. During this trip women help the Monterrey churches with their Vacation Bible Schools, outreach events for women, as well as marriage and parenting conferences. Our women also spend time teaching the scriptures, counseling and encouraging those women already in ministry. Watch for more information on the 2010 Mexico Mission Trip. Information will be announced in the spring.

We leave through the locked and guarded doors of a jail each week with the unspeakable joys of “proclaiming liberty to the captives” and making a difference in their future lives.

Change

There is a place—of service, of study, of mentoring, of encouraging—where you are needed and wanted. Please don’t hold back. Women’s Ministries at PCPC is not a club for a few—it is you!
